Stanley J5C09 Emergency Jump Starter Battery Review

I don't do many product reviews. This one is probably worth a product review more than almost anything else I've owned. Why? Because it's saved me from a lot of trouble numerous times.

Stanley J5C09 500-Amp Jump Starter with Built-In Air Compressor

The reasons I like this thing are too numerous for me to state in a coherent paragraph. So, here they are listed:

. • I bought one for my mom who was able to use the light on it when her power had gone out after not charging it for a year.
. • Off of one charge I've restarted my car and my wife's van at least a few times.
. • It has a USB port for charging emergencies (just keep a spare usb cable for your phone)
. • Has cigarette lighter power in/out for charging other devices (like a phone!)
. • $70 bucks with free shipping from Amazon [Link] - Less cost than one tow-truck visit and time saved for both me and a friend/family member who I'd have to call to come help me from 30 miles away (where I was last time my car battery died).
. • Unlike jumper cables, you don't need two cars or two people to operate this. Just your car.
. • The LED light is bright.

One note to mention- the instructions say to hookup the wires one way, but I think they're wrong. Black on black and red on red works for me.

I bought at least 2 of these within the past 2 years and I just bought another one. This great product deserves to be recognized.
