Real Mind Reading

By: David Rader II on January 07, 2008 @ 11:08 PM

I find it kind of funny how people deny that reading peoples minds is possible. Like right now for example, anyone who would currently deny that reading minds is possible is likely offended by the seemingly arrogant statement that I find their thought funny.

To a certain degree, mind reading is most definitely possible, without a doubt. If that's not true, then all other things I know are as likely to be untrue. Reality as we know it isn't very likely to be how we perceive in the first place though, so lets not go there, for now.

Where we should go is the explanation of mind reading. Mind reading is basically the use of predictions, hypothesis, and perhaps a few other things. For example... If you know someone is from a certain area, the dialect is different there and there are different meanings associated with the same words, even if in the same language, so you can predict their thoughts based on the thoughts likely associated with the words.

I'm not going to go too into this for now, because it's quite entrapping, especially if marveling at the small details.

I am going to give you one more example though; Most people who read this will likely have doubt instilled in their minds already, because the common perception of mind reading is that it is not possible, that it's a sham. However, mind reading per say is not so much "knowing word for word" what someone is thinking. It is possible to estimate the exact words someone is thinking, but it is extremely difficult (difficulty level judged by amount of knowledge necessary). Perhaps "intuition" is a factor, but I'm not exactly sure where "intuition" comes from, it's possible that it's knowledge we possess though don't currently have a means for explaining, but our subconscious uses it for us. I'm not very sure about that just yet.

Oh, what the heck, I'll give another example... The shorter I make this article, and the less examples I give, the more likely more of my fellow people will think I'm trying to avoid answering the questions (and often assume that I don't know what I'm talking about). I possibly know (or do assume) this because from my observations through my life of thousands or millions of people depending on how personal the level, that is the general reaction for those who are suspicious (which they typically are of things they consider a sham).

If those kind of assumptions (eg. that people will find things suspicious which their local or general society deems impossible), then you're already doing some mind reading. If you can make these kind of assumptions and be right 99 times out of 100, then it seems it would be a sham to state it's impossible to refine it to a higher level to know more thoughts.

I don't claim to be the master of mind reading. I just do it and recognize is for what it is, rather than some magical experience. If you can tell what one is thinking, even if by using society as a grounding point or ones personal convictions, doesn't that constitute mind reading? Even if not always knowing the specific words they're thinking?

Those who ask rhetorical questions, because they can guess what the answer will be are likely exercising mind reading.

I Loved your way of telling things. I really got interested just after the first paragraph! I read the whole thing and I realised mind reading is possible... Not like I ever doubted it but now I know theres more than just me who believes in it!(Sorry if there was any bad spelling in there^^,)

mind reading is very real there are a few people in the world that have been intrusted with this very secrit and protected art some of the things possible with this what i call mind art, are to be able to read other peoples
minds, to be able to taik to people using the mind,
to be able to manipolait what people are seeing for example making some thing apear to be moving when it is not,or to be invisibal to some one, it is even posiable to pause some one for example make them unconious with out touching them just using your mind,it is posibal to veiw and minpolait drams with this art.

This article explains it perfect! Well done. I find myself everyday in your shoes, predicting what people are thinking (usually very accurate) and sometimes I can often tell people things that they have only told other people, all from their speech and simple observation. And what really got me was when you said \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"However, mind reading per say is not so much \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"knowing word for word\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"... Thats exactly right. But dang once you have years of experience (such as me and you) you can be very good at figuring it out.

I agree.. I have started picking up on body language lately, and that alone tells so much about how people feel about things that it can be annoying at times.. You can also learn a lot if you listen closely to the way people talk. Where they look. How they move. How they make eye contact or don\'t make eye contact. rnrnI personally believe it also comes on a metaphysical level too. Just because science hasn\'t proven something yet doesn\'t mean it is absolutely untrue. : /

"a real mind reader word for word" - do you think maybe it's your subconscious putting together these words in an attempt to verbalize hypothesis of another persons thoughts?

there is a guy who will pay someone who can prove themselves to have a paranormal ability...
<a href="http://www.randi.org/site/index.php/1m-challenge.html

i" rel="nofollow">www.randi.org</a> have not noticed anyone who can literally read thoughts, unfortunately. i would like to witness that though.

#12 Chris Taylor (Mentalist) November 27, 2009 @ 10:06 AM
This entire article is based on a fallacy of logic: the Equivocation Fallacy.
You created a nonexistent controversy with linguistics.
Of course people will be skeptical if you call it "mind reading". To "read minds", as the term is understood, means to literally receive mental impressions of another's thoughts, irrespective of cultural background or context. It's literally being able to remotely view another person's literal cognitive processes.

What's being discussed here is essentially simplified profiling. The only purpose of labeling as mind reading would confusion or desire of attention.

#13 an observer November 27, 2009 @ 2:27 PM
gah, so this whole article makes sense to me. it's crystal clear, but i would really like to know if actual mind reading is real. like i've seen paranormal stuff, if there are such things as people who talk to dead people than how can i be so sure that there arent people out there who can read my thoughts? it bugs me cause i am terribly afraid of that being true. i guess you could say im very big on privacy and i live to keep things to myself. always. if there are such things as thought reading then i would like to know.

#14 David Rader December 08, 2009 @ 10:04 PM
I don't think there is anyone who actually knows how to "read minds" in the Hollywood sense. In the literal sense, it is possible to know what people are thinking and will think and what you can make them think. Advertisers do this. Military strategists live by this.

Some people are exceptionally empathic, which means they have the ability to know what you are thinking/feeling based on your physical actions- some that you may or may not be aware of. They couldn't tell "exactly" what you're thinking though. See example below:

You're at a political meeting and a politician says "I'm raising taxes %20 on the poor!" - Your face goes from a slight smile to plain. Odds are that's because you don't like that idea. Now - a person looking at you can't tell that you don't like the idea of raising taxes on the poor because you don't think they should be raised at all, or if you don't like the idea because you think they should be raised %50.

...This is where study bears fruit. If you have made it publicly known in the past that you dislike taxes in general and an observer knows that, from your slight smile to a sudden straight face at the sound of higher taxes, a person could conclude with almost certainty that you dislike the taxes- still. If you gave a standing ovation (a gesture to state a high amount of agreement), they might consider that you have changed your stance on taxes.

Is this a joke or something.

#16 Aidy Read January 28, 2010 @ 11:45 AM
I agree with Chris Taylor #12. Mind Reading is not the right term to use here for what has been discussed. Mind reading is being able to receive/see/''read'' the thoughts of someone else, not reading there body language, or making educated guesses, even if these guesses are done at a subconscious level.

#17 David Rader January 28, 2010 @ 2:22 PM
I think there are different ways to read minds and perhaps they should be identified.

I find it difficult to accept that if someone can tell what someone is thinking, no matter the method, it would not be considered mind reading. However, the definition of words comes from popular understanding of them, so if the general consensus is that mind reading must consist of receiving mental impressions of anthers thoughts and excludes other methods of thought interpretation, than mind reading is "receiving mental impressions from another."

Mind reading in the sense of receiving mental impressions from another is not something publicly known to be reproducible and is thus considered unreal. However, as many mythological creatures and abilities have real origins (although less fantastic), it leaves me to suggest that the origin of "mind reading" was from hypothesizing another thoughts based on this or a similar method. So although the currently popular definition of mind reading is "receiving mental impressions from another", I think the original definition is more true to life being something along the lines of "the ability to discern another thoughts". That definition itself is still somewhat fantastic, which as many fantastic things is easy to exaggerate and hard to believe.

It's up to you whether to use the term "mind reading" in a way that refers to real abilities in life or exaggerated abilities. Either way, people will think you're crazy until you tell them what they're thinking- then they'll be in understandable denial. After all, who would believe you are able to "read minds" in the method popularly perceived?

I think there are numerous methods of reading minds:
Empathy
Cultural history dissection
Personal history dissection
Subconscious (which can be perceived many ways)
Receiving mental impressions

...and probably many more I haven't yet thought to write in this article. If you can think or more methods to gain knowledge of a persons thoughts, please add them here.

I don't think that reading minds is necessarily any one particular method by itself, it could be a combination which is probably most accurate. What if a person could receive mental impressions from another, but without circumstantial understandings (history) it could be taken out of context. Although the immediate thoughts are known, the intention may not be or may be misinterpreted.

#18 Prache February 14, 2010 @ 10:10 AM
I *think* I can read minds, I mean I sometimes hear things that a person is not saying but I still hear them, or I get an image of what a person is thinking about. I met a doctor- or I think he was, he told me my mind works differently than others. I use some different part of my brain to think and others use a particular part (I got kinda confused but this is pretty much what he was trying to tell me).

There are many incidences that have happened.
I was not sure to call this a disease, but after reading this article, I think I am one of those freaky guys.

yuck

Hello Julia,

It sounds like you want to go out with Marcello, otherwise you wouldn't have enough interest to ask. As far as if you SHOULD go out with him, reading someones mind wont tell you if it's a good idea or not, other than reading what kind of person Marcello is.

Good luck Julia!

I completely agree but I will argue that word 2 word is real but would require some pratice maybe it's even called mind art wat someone mention before why do I say this, imagine that ur in a big Forrest at a spiritual festival and some random tripper u never met before who's from a completely differnt twn knowing ur family origins knowing the names of all my sibblings and their ages only infomation u would no and not only that he would make a joke about certain ppl and when they would confront him he would turn it around and make out he was refering to something else.

We were both on acid so that could of had something to do with it.....

Mind reading is totally possible. I've know several people with this capability... like pulling a rabbit out of a hat by naming the exact old movie I just watch the other day without any clues. Plus most people get the feeling of knowing who's going to call them in a sec or two at one point or another in their life. Even The new york times had an article a number of years back showing scientist had found 'mirror neurons' in the prefrontal cortex of the brain that basically mimic the brainwave activity of another as a means of understanding the other....essentially mind reading through empathy.

#32 LilyRitzo November 03, 2010 @ 8:28 PM
i believe in telepathy. hell, i even believe vampires and werewolves are out there. and why not? you never know what could be on this earth. and i know somebody's gonna come back with a 'scientific' answer...don't bother. science doesn't prove anything. the big bang theory? apparently there was nothing in space, nothing AT ALL, and then SUDDENLY, BANG! everythings there. but everything's made of matter, according to scientists. and if there was nothing, absoloutly NOTHING there to start with, where the hell did all the matter come from? just an example that science doesn't prove everything. i'm gonna learn how to read minds. so, there. that's to anybody out there who has no imagination and doesn't belive in this sort of stuff :)

its more possable than even you a believer thinks. two people can even comuincate with there minds.have a coversation. there is the natural way psychic or sixth sence type of thing. but i also know a way where people can speak to one another in there minds like talking on a telaphone or two way radio and it really works.ill just say it has to do with radio frequency an you vocal chords

I witnessed the mind reading ability of one fellow back in 1963 that till now hadn't bothered me much, but has me wondering more and more why it hasn't been proven. My simple searches for this person has not turned up any answers. He left for sick bay, on my reccomendation, and never returned, and as time passed(Vietnam Era) no one, including me, ask about him. With military records he should be traceable. The guy never missed!!

I think i may be one.
Though it's my first year of it...
It all started when i was taking a shower. Then for some odd reason my mind thought " He's so odd.. "
Out of the blue dont know why it came to my thoughts..
So i went to school and then I heard " I should ask him out.... no..no he will reject it again"
I was oficially starting to think I was crazy but then I could see strange colors above everyone head
( Red,Blue,Green,Orange,Yellow ) I can sense emotions a certain person is feeling to I have no idea how I can..
Though I think theirs another Mind reader Who knows me.
Sometimes I can see life through somones own eyes though i think its dangerous to do for my left Eye goes blind after i do this.
I think this happened because I never really tried to use my emotions or im just crazy if this is the same for you please contact me :P

i think i can read minds, but only like someones wispering one word. At first i thought it was nothing but i heard my friends voice in my head, so i said, what do you want, and she said, how did you know i wanted something, so we tried a few tests such as counting how many times she said it, and relised i could hear her. And i over heard some of my other friends talking about ghosts, and how they all see them. I pestered it out of them, and they told me everything, theres three of them and I think the one whos been seeing ghosts since see was little, is a necromancer,(look it up), and the other two half- demons because, one can create fire very weakly from her bare palm(she ginger), and one can control the wind. i dont know if it means we are supernatrual or if everybody has there own special ability that they havent found yet. PS: if boat 47 means anything to you could u please right back.

im really interested in learning to be able to mind read or be able to levitate things with your mind. If it is possible is it something your born with or something that can be learned. i can always finish my moms sentences or whenever she is saying something i can always figure out what it is about or even the answer to it before she is finished talking or getting out the idea, but thats about it. it you know how to do exercises or helpful tips please tell me!! i really wanna learn this!

#41 Sierrah March 27, 2011 @ 7:48 PM
So...I'm reading this page because I've been developing my mind reading skills- And i want to know how many others there are/what kind of tests to do..and I stumbled here.

I think I should start by saying that I've always been an empath~ Meaning I over-empathize on everything- even items! When I was 8 years old my mum wanted me to wear a christmas hat to my christmas band performance. I said no & thought I'd look stupid, and really fought to not wear it. While driving there, I started feeling bad for it & wishing I HAD worn it. It wasn't the hats fault that it looked like that..why had I been so mean and cross? It never did anything but look jolly!!

As of recently (I'm now 20) I've realized that I was an empath through constant emotions. I felt horrible for TigerWoods; The owners of whatever product that I decide to not buy; Even movie makers because I wouldn't give the damn movie a try because I thought the cover was stupid! I recently put a mental 'block' on my over-emotions, allowing only thoughts I deemed necessary of feeling bad for. All was going well until..
I started reading peoples thoughts.
I would hear THEIR voice- and apparently this is common.
My workplace is very uncomfortable at times...I work with people who think lowly of themselves & get jealous easily over things I cannot control (like looks, knowledge, confidence..)so I've always gotten rude remarks/gestures for really no reason, but I never let it effect me which probably makes them MORE angry. I concentrate on my aura color & put a mental mirror up if I feel negativity coming my way.

As I focused more on my spiritual powers, the clarity & assurance of what they were thinking was too much. I'd hear things like "F*cking dumb b*tch" & "Piece of sh*t" but I'd say 'No, no..it's all in my head. They're just being jealous or having a bad day...' This is so new to me that I thought I was just going mildly insane.
Well! I asked my boyfriend of 1.5 years to think of somthing~ Anything! I can't remeber exactly what I said but I got 4/5 right in the respect that it was unmistakeably TOO similar for comfort. I said "Hepatitis?" and he said "Elephantitis." with a blank look in his eyes...there was NOTHING in the room & my BF is one of the most random guys I know!~ Another was "Shih tzu?" and he said "Shoe string." The final one was a melody in my head and I said- "You're thinking of a song..." and he said "Holy sh*t!"

Now of course there's always coincidences, but I stopped it early with my odds 75%. The fact that I was getting /similar/ words and syllables without even concentrating was just too freaky. I didn't even concentrate! I was just sitting in my minds silence & a "god-like consciousness would whisper it in my ear" which was different then the work thoughts because it wasn't his voice. Keep in mind that I didn't even tell him that I was doing this test until after the 5th question. Also remember that I'm a little more clairvoyant than others in the fact that I've only seen a couple entities which I'd like to write off as an "odd eye occurrence" And I've felt energy from spirits, but only dramatically a couple times.

I hope this answers any questions that one might ask themselves "Am I similar to someone else?" or "Is this normal?"
Thanks, -Sierrah

This narrative details the devolution of my Human Rights caused by my new neighbors’ sadistic desire to derail my life. I noticed new people moving into the vacant unit next door and hoped they turned out less rowdy than the previous tenants. Soon after I began hearing bits and pieces of them speaking about intimate details of my life they should not know. I eventually realized this loud commenting on my life was an intentional method of harassing me. They enjoy observing the frantic emotional condition their behavior induces. When I was in the kitchen they begin speaking loudly about several degrading private details and habits in my life like how I vomit after every meal. This happens during the preparation, cooking and eating of every meal. In the bathroom I always heard loud speaking about how disgusting person I was after knowing I could hear. Harassment every day intentionally This progressed to loud chants of physical bodily harm to me if I did what was needed to stop their harassment and threats thus their infringement of my Human Rights in my own home. I worked with building management to record the harassment which is required to document the seriousness of the harassment issue.
I know there is a device being used to listen in on my activities at all times of the day and night while I am in my home and they in theirs next to me.
Other examples are for instance Thanksgiving of 2011. My mother and I rent separate apartments in the same rental community. While I visited with her my neighbors deliberately used their device to taunt, intimidate and harass me into a psychiatric episode freaking out during diner. They were able to use my personal history, identity info like my social security number and Google and financial account info spoken in the discomfort of my own home as potent ammunition to drive me to the breaking point and beyond. This is one of the many times I felt afraid enough to contact the police department. I began to feel a sense they had infiltrated my mind as the harassment continued daily for 6 months.
It is normal for me to hear a persistent chorus of chanted disturbing comments and ‘drive game’ tactics intended to make me uncomfortable every day. It is very hard to describe the depth of the feelings of disorientation, abnormality, suffering, emptiness, despair, anger, vexation and torment.
These events have completely murdered my stability and shattered my sense of well being.
My mind has been infiltrated by my neighbors who can’t keep from constantly dwelling in my head. They read every thought out loud as I think it. I hear them discussing my most intimate memories even when I do not actively think them. One example is I looked at a photo of a bird and heard them discussing the death of a pet bird years ago. this is one of many violations of my privacy. Every day of my life I listen to them use me as their reality show. I am 99.9% sure they are not psychic. They followed me around listening through the walls and spying through my windows for a couple months before I first noticed they are inside my head. Have you heard of this happening to anyone else before? I live each day listening to these persons picking apart every thought, decision, action, EVERYTHING. Even as I type I hear them reading what I write to you. I am also attacked from a distance. The police tell me this is Hollywood espionage stuff. I live every day with the neighbors who have no familial or other affiliation to me IN MY HEAD! Any advice or info that you have will be appreciated. They have destroyed my quality of life and have relished every second of it. Please help. I have no idea how to block or prove I am being violated every day. My fear is that I could be attacked for exposing their illegal stalking and harassment.
I have not been able to obtain any assistance remedying this violation of my human rights and privacy while I am inside my own home. Their constant response to my pleas to cease these activities is that they can’t. The reason is they are addicted to spying and stalking me. I am very interesting and eccentric.

I have been told directly that they are addicted to me and can’t stop using me as their only source of entertainment and engagement. I have been unable to find help or relief. I feel my actions have declared war.

If what you're saying is true, Craig Thompson, I think your best course of action is to ignore them.

I believe any real mind reading powers that may be, whether through ability or device are limited and extremely easily deterred.

thankyou. a curious mind.

#54 David Rader February 02, 2012 @ 11:35 PM
Hi Curious, I think a number of symptoms can accompany mind reading. Someone inexperienced may have to devote more thought to the act, and unintentionally become reclusive. They can change that most easily if they're conscious of how their own thoughts are affecting them. I consider empathy to be part of mind-reading, so anyone who's good at understanding people are mind readers in my opinion. Little credit is given to empathetic people, but much is deserved. When understanding others emotions, more responsibility is weighed on the empath. I have ran from this responsibility before, because it is too much to bear. Lately, instead of ignoring it, I've tried to get a little balance in my life by being more extroverted, while remaining conscious of how my actions effect others feelings & thoughts, thus actions, thus the actions of the world. I'm not very skilled in being extroverted, so I'm falling down seven times, but will stand up eight. A bit of wisdom I keep in mind when I am silent and feel I must wait for the right opportunity to speak is: "It is the discreet, not the witty, nor the learned, nor the brave, who guides the conversation, and gives measures to society." - Joseph Addison

I have a neighbour, who with the help of an astrologer/psychic who is not near my house and whom I dont know, tells everything to them my exact same thoughts, words and images with precision ,which i will be thinking at that particular moment, through mobile phone and they say it loud for me to hear when I pass through the bylane and they make their own analysis and experiments of my mind and thoughts. They also say these things to their friends and other neighbours and often ridicule and harass me in every way and other. I feel like I am in a trap. Iam in no way able to block the astrologer/psychic reader. I know it is very much real because of my harsh real experience, which I am myself not able to believe, though I hear and see everything done by my neighbour.rnrnBut what I want to know right now is how can I stop the Astrologer/Psychic from reading my mind. I talked to other astrologers they say it is the other astrologers mind power.rnrnCan anyone help me do something about it.

I dont know how to mind read on purpose yet, but I have heard thoughts from others in my mind that they never said out loud. I believe my spirit guide or possible someone from the other side might be repeating what the people are saying here and letting me know about it...its a theory. Psychic reading is completely different than mind reading because psychic reading is either connecting info from the other side for validations or to help someone on this side with their life. Yes, we may get the info from the same source but for a different purpose.

bullshit, this is the stupidest shit i have ever seen. you cannot literally read somebodies thoughts, that is humanly impossible, but yes you can read somebodies body language and tell approximately how they feel. Dumb shit.

I've always had a quirk where I can tell what people are thinking, and I think your concept applied to strangers is generally true. But my husband and I have been together for 10 years, and recently we've been running into reading each other's thoughts. It's really strange, but definitely 100% real. Also with my daughter (she's 2) I will be thinking about asking her to do something and she'll stop what she's doing and do what I was thinking. I found a study that was done in Australia proving that people who emotionally connect can make this possible through the nervous system. Both people's nervous systems are in sync with each other making communication possible other than verbal. I was going to post a link, but I see it says HTML isn't okay. Thought I'd throw in my 2 cents.

I am extremely empathetic too much i believe to a fault. My mother was psycic and and could hold something of significance of somebodys ans read their past but she quit when she saw a dear friend die and it came to pass when he was diving off a cliff and missed the water! I have very strong intuition and can usually see a lot about a person with in seconds of meeting them and their vibes. It does give me a little fear cuz i dont like the negative thoughts that run randomly thru my mind or if i think too much on something. My mom when we were younger had us do the card exerciseswith shapes and colors but i put it away for a long time now im 47 and there r others of the six siblings that have it but mine i feel is extremely strong and just now researching it now that mom mother is no longer with us

Yes, it is possible. I am one of those "different" people too. It has to do with making eye contact. Once you make eye contact every word of what they are thinking pops into my mind. It can only be done with direct eye contact. I figure things out about people before they even know it themselves. It's almost like abstracting information out of people's minds. I'm being honest here, it's a blessing and a curse. I am unable to have a normal relationship with someone. Being a mind reader is a form of art.

Somehow I keep seeing these random images.. At first I thought they were just part of my imagination.. but it has been happening more frequently lately. Like for example.. I was talking with a friend of mine online who lives in Australia while I live in the Netherlands myself.. I got these images again.. so I explained to her by chat what I saw... I was seeing things I could never know because I never been there.. I was seeing things she was thinking of at that moment by looking at it. It's blurry sometimes and has been giving me a headache as well.

I've had a guy follow me onto Omegle before who could read my mind. He knew what I looked like and what I was going to type before I even thought it. I think he hacked my webcam.

I also had a guy tell me my favorite band out of nowhere. There was no way he could've known. I even kept my obsession over the band secret from my mom. It could've been a hallucination, though. I'm schizophrenic.

Mind reading, along with mind control is a very real thing. I have lived though it with an ex and her black and white magic friends. The problem I had is they seemed to hate me and therefore the things I have had to endure would drive a sane man crazy. I don't know if I am just used to it now or if I am more unshockable than I thought I'd be but either way I am just glad they have not yet ruined my mind.

who can read my thought

#75 Sceptic June 08, 2013 @ 3:17 AM
I met someone who could mind read last night. I mean this in the most literal manner, that of him having the ability to listen to my thoughts. We were talking for around 6 hours, with a couple of other people present, he never made a mistake. Initially and prior to this event I would have ridiculed such superstitions, yet now I am 100% convinced. He would react to my thoughts in a variety of ways. This included answering questions that I had only thought and laughing/ being slightly annoyed when I still thought the opinion that what was happening may not have been. On the other hand he did not appear to have the ability to listen to me whilst conversing with somebody else, I suppose it must be at least as hard for them to listen and talk as it is for us.
Although the majority of people claiming to actually read minds of this thread are almost certainly lying, I now believe there is a chance that one of two of them might not be. This power is incredibly impressive but it throws me the question as to why there is no main stream knowledge of people of physic prowess if a prevalence of such people is immanent in society. Some of the answers to this question worry me deeply. I am inclined to believe that such people would gravitate towards positions of power, this initiates ideas akin to conspiracy theories. Of which I am normally sceptic. Alternatively, indeed until I have the existence of others proven I find this more likely, he is unique and has kept his talent secret to a large extent.
I would like to hear more opinions and possibilities in response to the question I have posed. Additionally any comments analysing what I have said would also be appreciated.

My bf can read minds and use his brain to speak to me through other people no matter where i am...the whole making someone not hear something being said by making them unconscious but concious at the same time very true...kinda has freaked me out at times but im getting used to it. Seems like he has taught my daughter who is 4 how to use her mind...sometimes i hear things and at times wonder if thats what the person next to me is thinking...since ive experienced this with him i think ALOT.

is this mind reading

#81 Pastor William Geiger August 06, 2014 @ 3:34 AM
Mind readers are real and some of them deceive you.
I've met a few that proved to me that they were what they claimed by telling me all about myself.
What is a mind reader, you might ask. A mind reader not only reads your present thoughts but can also thumb through your past actions and words sometimes within your mind. They sometimes get headaches and have to take breaks if they go into it too intensely. They can pose as people that can tell your future. They do this through giving you a false since of security by telling you only things that you would know, like that your house is blue or that you know someone with the name of "Bobby" or that you have plans to go somewhere on vacation soon. Telling you things like that will amaze you and then you'll believe anything they tell you about your future that they make up along the way.
It is like believing in something without a solid foundation. Let's compare the Bible, shall we? I believe the Bible because of the evidences. It has a great, solid foundation in it's roots and proof.
Scientists that did archaeological digs in the site of sodom and gamorrah found that they were really destroyed as it was foretold in the Bible.
Noah's Ark was found and is marked on United States Military satellite imagery maps of the surrounding area and labeled as "Noah's Ark".
The Bible tells us that we are not to trust fortune tellers and I have found more than what I have told you here that supports the Bible to be true to make me want to stay away from them, but I also met three others in my lifetime that claimed to be mind readers and what they told me makes what God said in the Bible make more since. Fortune tellers are not real, but mind readers are and most mind readers, like most other people that are not mind readers, are greedy for money and therefore most of them become known as fortune tellers through deceiving others. God said NOT to trust them.... because they are not real. God told us about our future and so the telling of one's future is not wrong... it is being false that is wrong. Jesus foretold the future and so did Paul through a dream/vision that God gave him.
So, the next time people that claim to be fortune tellers and try telling you about your life, think twice before you hand over any money.
You should not hate mind readers, though. Some good mind readers become counselors or Doctors and make an honest killing financially. So, not all mind readers are bad. According to the Bible, only God knows the future. If it was not a message from God then you should know that it is just a fake.

I know many people have brief ESP flashes and that there are very few who can turn it on and off at will. I have had a couple of these myself, but it is not something I can do if I try. My wife knew a man who had the ability and proved it by responding to a random test. My son also kept me watching my thoughts when he was young because he would repeat back what I was thinking. I would like to do a screen play based on the premise of REAL ESP, not tricks. To do this I need to have serious discussions with REAL mind readers. I know they (you) have nothing to gain immediately by doing this, but possibly might be interested in working with other readers or may feel there is a general benefit for people to be made aware; or is this a bad idea??? If you live in the N E Pennsylvania area. contact: cyberbob9 [@t] verizon.net
