Xin lỗi (Sorry)

Many things weigh me down that my forefathers and fellow countrymen have done and are doing. I have thought for a long time that there's nothing I can do, unless I get rich and make a statement with my power. In a dream this morning I realized I do have power. A sincere thanks or apology must be worth as much when it is quiet as when it is loud, so long as it is heard.

I am sorry for the atrocities my fellow countrymen laid in the Vietnam War of the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. I am sorry for all those who died on both sides. It is my belief that there is no person truly evil in this world and both who fought felt they were doing it for the right reasons. I don't know if it is ever "right" to kill another person, be it to save another life or 10 more lives. I believe it is not right.

I love my forefathers who fought and died in the Vietnam war as much as I love those Vietnamese who fought and died which is at least as much as I love myself. I am glad there are ways in which we communicate and make trades with each other now. These trades create dependance and while that does not create love, it makes it easier to see it. We've come a long way in a short period of time. From one generation to the next, we see things with new eyes.

What I have seen of Americans is that we will not go to war as a people unless we are convinced we are doing good. Those convincing powers may vary and remain hidden, which is the same in many countries and must be stopped. When the controllers of information are intentionally distorting and blocking the truth, they must be stopped.

When you hear a story in the world do not believe it wholeheartedly until you have read at least every version of it. Do you not examine the entire apple, before determining it is fit to eat, or do you examine just one side or two thirds of the apple before you eat the whole thing? When you see a spot is bad on the apple, do you cut out the spot, or throw the whole thing away? If you throw the whole thing away, then surely you have too much. You should give some away or ask for help so you do not have so much you have no choice but to waste.
