Why Are Boggers Here

There are a lot of bloggers these days. Reading one of my friends posts called the other side of blogio about a song with a lyric being:

"Here I am on the other side of the blogio
Wondering why I’m here and why anybody cares what I say"

I became thoughtful and wondered if not succeeding in our current goals, what unbeknownst benefit will come from our tireless blogging efforts?

Each of our blogs serve as time capsules to ourselves for self-study, the serve as time capsules for future generations who can see how we each wrote, what our thoughts were, what was important to us, and what we believed. One of the great tools humanity has is a record of history to learn from... Even if not communicated directly (where lines must be read inbetween), unmatched unhindered truth can be found in a blog as opposed to in-person society where many of us must hold back and feel valueless the things we think.

So even if we are not currently achieving our goals, we will create benefits in the future for not only ourselves, but future generations (so long as Earthlings don't blow themselves up - and even then, perhaps there will be backups of archive.org buried in time capsules. At the very least, if blogging has not gone right so far, you've already done one thing... You've recorded your thoughts for study in the future! You can improve upon yourself! Not saying you're imperfect, because you are. That's another story though.

In a few years from now, when you're wondering who you were back then, or who you are again, you can take a peek at who you used to be and say wow, I've changed, I'm glad I'm different and/or Wow, I was a jerk! I'm still that way! Now that I've seen myself from another perspective (albeit my own, it is still a different, more experienced perspective), I'll have the humility to admit I'm wrong, the will power to change myself, and the knowledge to do it without hating my past and obviously less-experienced self. I may also learn something unexpected. I may be rejuvenated by knowing I once had an eager spirit if lost or shocked to witness how naive I was! I suppose time will tell us all.

For future Intelligent Folk: My daughter is smiling, while being held by my wife who's is watching That 70's Show and I"m earing Doritos.

That's pretty much it, isn't it? The only one that truly mostly cares about what you've written is yourself. It's a great way to chronicle what you've gone through that day or week. I always get a kick reading my old posts, seeing how my writing skills progressed (regressed?).

It's also very comforting to know that now we've got a bigger audience. More people do care what we have to say.

(For your future self: HI! I'M HERE ALSO! :-))

I'm sure your writing skills have progressed!

I think this is going to be funny in the future for us lol...
